Why drink alkalised water?
The effects of PH levels within drinking water
discussed by Freshly squeezed water
Our bodies should have a blood pH value of 7.36
to 7.44.
Due to our modern lifestyles and consumption of
meats, dairy, coffee & processed sugars which create acid
ash in the body, our bodies may become acidic over time.
Even the water we drink can be acidic adding to
the body’s attempts to maintain its natural pH value.
Typical symptoms of acidic blood can include;
- Low energy
- Excess weight
- Poor digestion
- Aches & pains
Some experts go even further to suggest that an
alkaline body might not allow a range of degenerative diseases
including arthritis, osteoporosis and even cancer cells to form
as readily as in an acidic body.
By combining a change in diet and drinking water
with a pH value similar to the ideal blood value can lead to
better health.
Understanding pH
pH is a method to measure the acid/alkaline value of a given substance. The
chart below shows a typical range of Ph values, with 7 being neutral.

For example pH values;
Apple juice 2.9 – 3.3
Stomach acid 1.1 – 3.0
Anti- acid tablets 10.5
Household bleach 12.6
Reverse Osmosis water 5, 2 – 6.4 (without alkalising unit fitted)
Reverse Osmosis water7.5 (with alkalising unit fitted)*
